Our Story

Who We Are

Based just outside Llangennith, Big Meadow is a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) project growing Soil Association certified organic vegetables for local households.

For over six years we've been producing fresh, seasonal vegetables while building a resilient local food system that connects people with the land, the seasons and each other.

Every week our members collect a share of the harvest, knowing they're supporting sustainable farming, biodiversity and a thriving local community.

More Than a Veg Box

Big Meadow is about much more than growing food.

Weekly Organic Veg Boxes

Each share contains at least six varieties of organic produce, most of which has been picked that very morning from our fields.

Throughout the year you'll enjoy an ever-changing selection including:

Summer

Tomatoes • Courgettes • New Potatoes • French Beans • Basil

Autumn

Squash • Sweetcorn • Beetroot • Fennel • Peppers

Winter

Parsnips • Sprouts • Mixed Salad • Parsley • Celeriac

Spring

Purple Sprouting Broccoli • Spinach • Kale • Lettuces • Spring Greens

During the "hungry gap" we occasionally supplement our harvest with certified organic vegetables from trusted UK growers. Members can also swap unwanted vegetables from our weekly spares box, subject to availability.
